Hilton’s true hospitality also goes through the Global Week of Service, where over 355,000 Team Members from all over the world take part in local volunteering projects that have a positive impact on the communities they live and work. Since 2012, Hilton’s Team Members have completed over 15,000 projects across the globe, totaling 804,620 hours of volunteer service. Hilton’s individual hotels, various brands, and offices identify the places within their communities that require the most in need of action and realize projects ranging from creative initiatives to eliminate food waste to relief in areas affected by disasters environmental education, up to education for young people. All projects that show how a career in the world of hospitality can change life. Thus, in Italy Curio La Bagnaia Golf & Spa Resort will organize some initiatives in partnership with C.R.I. – Croce Rossa Italiana of Siena. On Saturday, October the 28th, from 9.00 to 18.00, at the Supermarkets Coop San Miniato and Simply Store in Siena, ten Team Members will make a food collection to be devoted to people in poverty. Hiltoncollaborates this year with IRE, a non-self-sufficient elderly residence located in Giudecca. The cuisine Team Member will prepare dinner for residents who do not have the opportunity to get out, while other Team Members will entertain the guest of the rest with playful activities. In Milan, on October, the 31th, Team Members will support the M’AMA Food project, an ethnic catering service for women refugees in the city. The hotel staff and the association’s representatives will put together their strength in Hilton Milan’s kitchen to create a special ethnic menu to serve in the hotel. The aim of the initiative is to provide new skills to women working in catering to become more and more integrated into the Italian society that hosts them. The Global Week of Service is part of Travel with Purpose, Hilton’s CSR strategy launched in 2011 and focused on creating new opportunities, supporting communities, and preserving the environment. This year Hilton has reached $ 1 million through the Travel with Purpose Action Grant program, which rewards Team Members of the hotels that have distinguished themselves for particular projects in tune with the Travel with Purpose philosophy.
