10 international chefs, all three-stars Michelin, will be the stars of 10 dinners of S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino 2016-10 Years calendar. A unique event, never realized before, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the prestigious event that, in addition to the 3-stars 10 nights, this year will bring together in one event some of the most famous representatives of the high world-catering, for a total of 60 Michelin stars, called to enliven the evenings of the festival and to honor with their food the most exclusive locations in Canton Ticino, Switzerland. From May 1th to June 19th, there will be 24 appointments, moving up by three gala evenings across Gottardo: April 4th at the Park Hotel Vitznau, the 6th at the Beau-Rivage in Lausanne and the 11th at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois Basel. Afterwards, S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino will come back home. The opening night of May 1th will be dedicated to the chefs of the Swiss Deluxe Hotels group at the Hotel Splendide Royal in Lugano, where Domenico Ruberto will host colleagues Nenad Mlinarevic (Restaurant Focus – Park Hotel Vitznau), Heiko Nieder (The Restaurant – The Dolder Grand, Zurich) and Thomas Neeser (Grand Hôtel Du Lac, Vevey) for a night at the 5-star Michelin. On May 2th, the appointments with three-stars 10 chefs will start, when Thomas Bühner, restaurant La Vie in Osnabrück (Germany) will guest Luca Orini at Seven The Restaurant, Lugano. On May 8th, the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona and the resident chef Salvatore Frequent will welcome one of the leading exponents of contemporary food culture, Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana). From Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, on May 9th Annie Féolde – the first woman in Italy to conquer the three stars in 1993 – will arrive in Lugano and together with Executive Chef Riccardo Monco and the Chef Cooking Alessandro Della Tommasina, will be the guest of Dario Ranza (17 points in the Gault Millau guide) at the picturesque scenery of Villa Principe Leopoldo in Lugano. The journey continues with an evening dedicated to French tastes: at the Hotel Splendide Royal Lugano, the Chef Pascal Barbot (L’Astrance, Paris) will meet, May 15th, Domenico Ruberto. On May 16th at the Conca Bella – Enoteca Restaurant Hotel Vacallo, another myth of Italian cuisine: Niko Romito, who from Castel di Sangro Royal Restaurant meets the talented and starry Andrea Bertarini. On May 29th, the Castello del Sole, Ascona will see the arrival from Basel of Peter Knogl (Restaurant Cheval Blanc), guest Othmar Schlegel. On May 30th, once again two Italian Michelin stars: the brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea, guests of Eros Picco at The View of Lugano, right from Ristorante Da Vittorio (Brusaporto, Bergamo). The evening of 31th will see the arrival from Germany of Christian Bau (Victor’s Fine Dining), guest Nicholas Costantini at the Ciani Restaurant Lugano. The journey through international three stars tables will continue on June the 6th with the presence of Jonnie Boer (De Librije, Zwolle, Netherlands), guest Egidio Iadonisi at the Swiss Diamond Hotel in Vico Morcote, while June 8th Eric Pras (Maison Lameloise , Chagny, France) will be the guest of Frank Oerthle at the Gallery Restaurant Artè al Lago at the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola, Lugano. The final celebration of this year’s event will be held at the Grand Hotel Eden in Lugano on June 19th and it will feature four historical names that have made, and continue to make, the history of Swiss restaurants as Pierrot Ayer (Les Pérolles, Fribourg) new president of the Grandes Tables de Suisse, Stéphane Décotterd (Le Pont de Brent, Brent), Alain Bächler (Des Trois Tours, Fribourg) and Pierrick Suter (Hotel de la Gare, Lucens). As usual, to complete the program of S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino 2016 will be held 9 events including a new initiative dedicated to S.Pellegrino Young Chef, the draft global talent scouting for young Chef under 30 and an entire evening dedicated to the great chef Norbert Niederkofler (Rosa Alpina Hotel & Spa).
