MonteNapoleone Yacht Club, an event ratifying and celebrating the long-standing, successful relationship between the luxury goods industry and yachting, and sponsored by the Milan City Council, will be held in Milan for the third time from 15 to 21 May. The Via MonteNapoleone boutiques will play host to internationally-renowned shipyards and yacht clubs. During this event, which continues until 28 May, leading names in watches and jewellery will display their most unique pieces and ultra-complicated timepieces. The district’s boutiques will open their doors to visitors to tell the story of two industries of excellence, on one hand, the great fashion brands, and on the other the yacht builders who will be exhibiting previews of their latest projects. Scale models, drawings, photographs and videos will be on display in the  boutiques. Boats bearing Germán Frers’s signature that have marked the history of yacht racing include Raul Gardini’s Moro di Venezia, Gianni Agnelli’s Stealth and Patrizio Bertelli’s Luna Rossa, to name but a few Italian yacht owners. The exhibition, which comprises photographs and original drawings on show for the first time in Italy, will run the length of Via MonteNapoleone and be of interest not only to sailing enthusiasts. Moreover, a round table entitled “Excellence in the nautical industry and tourism, a prime asset and tool to promote Made in Italy” will be held on Tuesday, 16 May at 11.00am at Spazio Gessi – via Manzoni 16/a, which will be attended by leading players in the industry.Info: www.montenapoleone.luxury/it.html
