The London Dockland tradition blends the green concept in the new Novotel Canary Wharf, for innovative, sustainable hospitality with style.

Upper urban garden and honeycomb with a 360° view over London. Novotel London Canary Wharf, the new flagship hotel of the historic AccorHotels brand, combines Dockland history and industrial design with the green vocation. Amongst the tallest buildings in the East End financial district of London, it has 313 rooms, 26 suites, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, 9 designer meeting rooms that take the name of the goods and spices that once crossed the Dockland wharfs, bar, café, restaurant and panoramic terrace. A hotel that exits from the Novotel standards and that promises a unique living experience from the entrance, dominated by the imposing staircase leading into the common areas on the upper floor. Suspended between vertical rods in copper and with solid oak steps, the staircase is the center of the industrial design structure contaminated by the Canary Wharf’s past port and a green attitude. It is no coincidence that the hotel is the first in the UK to host a garden, in line with the Planet21’s goals, the Sustainable Development Program of AccorHotels, that plans to realize 1,000 urban gardens by 2020 in the hotels of the Group. And it is probably the only hotel to boast the highest hives in the country, as honey for domestic use is produced at the 39th floor by altitude hens that represent only one of the environmental sustainability criteria valid for the hotel certification BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method), a protocol assessing the environmental performance of properties. Among the other parameters there is a combined heat and power system that contributes to a 30% CO2 reduction, automatic lighting adjustments based on time and seasons, recycling of kitchen oil, waste and soaps, and the use of organic and local products. Another delightful news is the absence of a reception desk: guests are welcomed and assisted by the staff, while the fast check-in and check-out services via the tablet can save you time and improve your experience of stay. On the highest floors on three different levels there are the ultra modern BŌKAN 37 restaurant, the BŌKAN 38 bar and the BŌKAN 39 panoramic terrace for a lunch, dinner or cocktail with a view.
