As it prepares to greet the new year with its legendary New Year’s Eve Gala, the historic as well as elegant 5-star hotel has a rich calendar of events to conduct its guests until spring (winter closing date: April 2018, the 2nd). Meanwhile, until January, the 6th, in the Gran Hall it will be served caviar, oysters and champagne, which in January, 13th to 19th, it will give way to Chocolate Cult and the irresistible buffet created by the patissier chef of Badrutt’s Palace and the confiserie Sprüngli. On gastronomic theme, one can not forget that the IGNIV gourmet restaurant by Andreas Caminada@Badrutt’s Palace, a reference address for a “fine-dining-sharing experience” outside the box, won its first Michelin star just 9 months from opening thanks to 31-year-old chef Marcel Skibba and his team of 15 people. The focus in the kitchen is on the unmistakable taste of local products. Skibba knows well the high culinary expectations of Caminada: he has been a regular member of the chef’s cooking team since April 2015 and during the summer and autumn seasons, when IGNIV St. Moritz is closed, he continues to work as his sous chef in the tristellato Schloss Schauenstein.
