The elegant Sicilian resort Donna Coraly defends the environment by promoting sustainable tourism by joining the “Donna Sicilia” project.
Discover the priceless artistic heritage of Sicilian baroque but also the protected natural oasis on board an electric car thanks to the “Donna Sicilia” project by Sicily Car, the first eco-mobility initiative spread throughout the Island. A project to which Lucia Pascarelli, owner of the elegant Donna Coraly Resort – located in south-eastern Sicily between Ortigia, Noto, Scicli, Ragusa and Modica – believed right away, also involving the adjacent Casale Fradama: “The concept of hospitality in which I believe it is the respectful of the host first of all, but also of the environment and of the territory in which it operates. Thus, even the historic house located inside the estate of San Michele has been equipped with electric charging columns that can be used by both its guests and those who stop at the Resort even for lunch or to visit the estate. After all, Donna Coraly has
always had the environment at heart, so much so that the production of electricity also takes place through solar panels, it has a large botanical garden that is a real paradise of Mediterranean plants – it includes a hortus conclusus inside whose fruit and vegetables are used by the Resort Chef – and it is also equipped with a bio-pond swimming pool built with natural materials that does not use chlorine but the Salts of Life. And from now, on board an electric car the Resort becomes the privileged starting point to head towards the many protected areas to discover rare animal and plant species: from the Plemmirio Marine Protected Area to the Cavagrande del Cassiibile Reserve to the Vendicari Reserve, home to the beautiful Calamosche beach, a lovely natural swimming pool ideal for snorkelling awarded by the Blue Guide of Legambiente entitled “The most beautiful beach in Italy”. Discovering these areas with electric machines means respecting and practicing eco-sustainable tourism in perfect harmony with these projects. The electric cars of the “Donna Sicilia” project can be collected at the airports and recharged through the appropriate columns.
