The refined address in St. Moritz, Grand Dame of hôtellerie in the Engadine, is in the midst of the winter season amidst luxury, style and Michelin stars.
Badrutt’s Palace in St. Moritz has always been a “destination within a destination” and for this winter season the legendary Hotel maintains its very high reputation by offering an incomparable mix of style, hospitality and impeccable service. In addition to the spa with indoor and outdoor infinity pools, the numerous boutiques, the ski shop and the ice rink, the Grand Dame of the Engadine offers guests a wide variety of bars and restaurants. For the winter season, IGNIV, the “nest” at Badrutt’s Palace by Andrea Caminada awarded 2 Michelin stars, and La Coupole-Matsuhisa signed by Nobu have also reopened. For those who like to stay up late, the King’s Social House at Badrutt’s Palace is the oldest club in all of Switzerland, where you can dine bistro-style, in a sophisticatedly designed environment, and dance until late at night, to the tunes of DJs from international fame. For the second consecutive year, the Hotel manages the Paradiso Mountain Club & Restaurant, the high-altitude mountain chalet with an unmissable view of the Engadine mountains loved by the jet-set. Here guests find a wonderful terrace where they can have lunch, toast, dance and sunbathe, to the tune of DJ music, feeling on top of the world. A space with large windows furnished in Alpine style with design touches and the author’s photographs of the American Tony Kelly awaits those who prefer to dine indoors, while members of the Paradiso Club have access to the Gucci Lounge, an intimate lounge where they can relax and chat, between elegant seats and a view of the Alpine peaks. Chef Francesco Lunesu is proposing a menu with warm mountain notes, which includes the classics with truffles, the lobster roll, sumptuous fondues and the most popular desserts, such as the Kaiserschmarrn or the Palace Chocolate Cake, to pair with the extensive list of wines and champagnes. Chalet Paradiso can be reached on skis, on foot, with snowshoes or by chairlift, and it is open every day from 11.30 am to 5pm. From 21 to 23 January, on the occasion of the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, the Spanish-Moroccan Chef Zineb “Zizi” Hattab, Michelin star at the Kle restaurant in Zurich, will be guest of the Badrutt’s Palace with an exclusively vegan menu. On Sunday, January 22, the Paradiso Mountain Club & Restaurant will host the Mountain Brunch, with specialties from the five guest Chefs Imad Alarnab, Sami Tamimi, Silvena Rowe, Tomer Tal and Zineb “Zizi” Hattab, among local delicacies and the delights of Paradise cuisine. During the Festival, Badrutt’s Palace will also host Gourmet Safaris and the traditional Kitchen Party in the hotel kitchens. At the end of the month, the Polo on the Snow show (27-29/01/2023) will be repeated on the frozen lake of St. Moritz, as tradition dictates, while in February the concours d’elegance of The Ice St. Moritz will see the most beautiful sports and vintage cars darting across the surface of the lake, for an event that celebrates speed, elegance and liveliness (24-25/02/2023). The sponsor Badrutt’s Palace will be present at both events with its tensile structure on the ice from which to follow the events, with restaurant and bar service.
