The world’s leading ultra-premium rum, Ron Zacapa launches the new, distinctive packaging for its family of rums. Zacapa continues to be a strong competitor amongst the best rums and also within the luxury dark spirits category. A new packaging has been created taking inspiration from the brand’s Guatemalan origins. The bottles provide a sophisticated brand appearance across all the variants, while retaining the elements that make Zacapa immediately distinguishable in the marketplace. The striking new packs draw on Zacapa’s philosophy of taking the time required to create meaningful and pleasurable experiences in life, and in turn reflect the quality of the product within. The variants feature bold elegant lines and design cues created to complement the luxury, artisanal nature of Zacapa. The new Zacapa 23 bottle boasts a more slender, elegant shape subtle detailing of orchid blossoms, Guatemala’s national flower. The luxurious outer box canister features the distinctive Zacapa petate band, Guatemalan orchids and will allow the brand to be positioned in the luxury space befitting of the
product. The new XO bottle, more contemporary in its design, conveys the luxury of the liquid, which in turn rivals the finest cognacs. Encased in an elegantly curved bottle with gold petate detailing, the bottle is housed in a sophisticated black outer box with gold foil and orchid details. Zacapa is one of the finest rums in the world. Produced in the verdant land of Guatemala, this ultra-premium rum is the result of a unique combination of soil, climate and natural materials brought together with skilled distillation and a special high altitude aging process. Unlike most rums which use molasses, it is produced using the sweetest first pressing of sugar cane juice, referred to as ‘virgin sugar cane honey’. Aged in the ‘House Above the Clouds,’ at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level, the rum uses a ‘Sistema Solera’ ageing process, with the rum being laid to rest in selected barrels that previously aged American whiskeys, sherries and Pedro Ximenez wines, in the case of XO, the final stage of aging occurs in French oak cognac barrels.
