It’s called NY-LON, celebrating the all important London-New York route, the thematic lounge bar born out of the partnership between Virgin Atlantic and Delta Airlines, located by the O2 Arena Greenwich, the most fashionable Entertainment District of the British Capital. An innovative space dedicated to the aviation world which has the Turbin Bar, inspired in its design by the engine of an aircraft by uniting the very best of the two brands. Both airlines have indeed joined forces by collaborating with Manchester’s Love design studio in order to create a 560 square meter space which can accomodate up to 300 people, whereas a dedicated area can be booked for meetings, private dinner parties or taylored events up to 16 people. Ideal place for a drink before a concert, for a bite or quite simply for a coffee, NY-LON is open every day between 16.00 until late at night, offering snacks and menùs naturally inspired by the two cities. Any example? Brooklyn Crab salad or Billingsgate fishpie, to complement with a range of cocktails such as London Vesper, Stateside or the 30.000ft.” In New York we managed to carry Delta’s sense of hospitality and service from the sky to the earth thanks to our Delta Sky 360 Club lounge by Madison Square Garden. After that, we committed ourselves in a second business opportunity across the Atlantic alongside our partner Virgin Atlantic”, explained Tim Mapes, Delta’s Marketing Senior Vice President. Inaugurated on Jan 1st 2014, the joint venture partnership between Virgin Atlantic and Delta Airlines paves the way to a wider transatlantic route network between the United Kingdom and North America, thus offering more flights and better connections. The partnership now offers 10 daily flights between London and New York, of which 8 to NY JFK and 2 to Newark. These flights can be easily planned by comfortably sitting in NY-LON’s Turbin bar, while enjoying the relaxing atmopshere of a first class trip.
