Paris women show on Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese with La Parisienne review.
From May, the 12th to July, the 10th, there is La Parisienne, a collection of 32 photos of women in Paris made by Sofitel – the luxury brand of the AccorHotels group – in collaboration with Paris Match. The exhibition, free and free entrance (daily from 11am to 11pm) at the Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese, portrays French and foreign women, dives and common girls, who move with grace and naturalness between the streets, the cafes and the monuments of the Ville Lumière, offering the spectator an overlooked look on the female universe. Immortalized from the 1950s to today, in black and white or in color, posing or spontaneous, the photos convey a sense of refinement and elegance. Style icons like a young Sophia Loren overlooking the roofs
of Paris, Coco Chanel caught in a lovable conversation with Jeanne Moreau and still Catherine Deneuve, Brigitte Bardot and Jane Fonda photographed on the streets of Paris alternate with more contemporary celebrities – by Monica Bellucci and Caterina Murino to Charlize Theron and Juliette Binoche – and common girls portrayed in a modern Paris. The photography path is divided into two sections: a retrospective featuring 22 photo credits coming directly from the Paris Match archives and a contemporary section that brings the visitor to today’s young women of Paris with ten amateur photographs winners of the competition organized by Sofitel in collaboration with the Wipplay photography portal.
