Plunged in Sicilian history and aristocraticity, Donna Coraly Resort is the perfect destination for those seeking the ultimate in exclusivity.
You truly feel unique and elected guests at Donna Coraly Resort, inaugurated in August 2016 and already become a reference point for those seeking an exclusive and informal atmosphere at the same time, where the air scents like the sea and blossom and everything is thought to make your stay unforgettable. Located at the gateway to Syracuse and only 2 km from the most beautiful beaches and protected reserves of the southern coast of the Island, the resort is embedded in a sublime environmental and
historical setting: an ancient 1400 farmhouse in the San Michele estate – where it was signed the armistice of Cassibile on September, 1943 – with fortress-style fortress protected by moat and walls, side by side with a small chapel still consecrated and overlooking the typical baguette surrounded by rustic houses, including a beautiful seventeenth-century warehouse. The landlady
Lucia Pascarelli has personally chosen and cared for every detail by wisely restoring the ancient property with the Milanese architect Manuela Schioppa Salvadego to make it elegant and functional, yet maintaining the original features unchanged. Thus, the floors of the 5 suites – each one has a color and decor that distinguishes it, recalled in a shower wall – are made of local stone and majolica of Caltagirone, also in enamelled lava stone washbasins, while for the furnishing and decoration parts there are the
original nineteenth-century furniture of the villa restored by local craftsmen alternating with contemporary art from Milan’s Rubin gallery. All 5 suites at Donna Coraly Resort have their own furnished green space, with direct access to the botanical garden full of Mediterranean plants, tropical specimens and flowers, and within the Hortus Conclusus, there are the same aromatic plants, fruit trees and vegetables which are biologically grown that guests will find in the restaurant’s meals. Among the gardens, surrounded by orange
trees, there is also a bio-pond, a swimming pool made by natural stones and highly technological materials in full respect for environmental protection. In the dining room, while enjoying the traditional cuisine revisited in contemporary key by the chef, you can see a spectacular Rose of the Winds glazed on a lava stone slab of approximately 2 meters in diameter among the stone slabs of Comiso. The Oasis of Well-being, reserved only to the customers of Donna Coraly, is a natural-dominated space with hydromassage, hammam, personal trainer and where for all facial and body treatments only products from the territory, from
citrus fruits to almonds, from greens to olive or jasmine oil, are used. Do not miss the Coraly Massage under the stars, one of the many courtesies for guests thought by Lucia Pascarelli, granddaughter of the Nobles-born Sicilian Coraly Grande Sinatra to whom the Resort makes homage bearing her name. It is the homeowner to take care of all the “tailor made” services from the aperitif at sunshine on the veranda to the organization of sailing and catamaran trips in the surrounding bays with lunch or dinner on board to cultural and natural tours personalized, or participating in theater events and exhibitions.(www.donnacoraly.it)
