A holiday in the Cogne Valley is in the name of security, mental serenity and psycho-physical well-being

It will be the summer of the mountains, to be spent on alpine paths and in the peace of nature. Alpine destinations become in the collective imagination safe oases that allow you to live in the open air while maintaining the distances and safety measures needed today. The Cogne Valley, gateway to the Gran Paradiso National Park and ideal destination for nature and hiking lovers, is carefully preparing to welcome its guests safely. With a particular sensitivity to the scientific exploration aspect, the Municipality of Cogne will be the first in Valle d’Aosta to offer free to the whole population the possibility of carrying out the serological test to detect the presence of antibodies to Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and thus understand how many have come into contact with the virus. The results will then be made available to the Regional Health System and to the national and international scientific community. According to the new rules, some of the activities normally scheduled for the summer season will be maintained and adapted in a weekly calendar, such as guided excursions to discover the fauna and flora of the Park, organized for small groups of people. Among the plans of the Aosta Valley locality there are the creation of new picnic areas and the expansion of the pedestrian paths, creating new paths also within the immense lawn of Sant’Orso on which Cogne overlooks and from which you can admire the massif of the Gran Paradiso. Always attentive and promoter of soft mobility and sustainability, Cogne also foresees the growth of the park of pedal-assisted bicycles to move freely along multiple paths. Restaurants are gearing up for take-away solutions and to gain more space to eat meals outdoors. In addition to adopting measures to ensure everyone’s safety, the accommodation facilities are careful to find solutions that prefer open air services, fast check-in, different times for lunches and dinners and the possibility of having in-house meals and safe takeaway also in Bed & Breakfasts. But for those who prefer independence to services, the choice is wide if you look at houses and apartments for rent, or, for more organized and self-made travelers, at campsites and rest areas for campers and caravans. Measures and initiatives designed for a holiday that is as quiet as possible, during which we can find the mental serenity and psycho-physical well-being that we have been missing in recent months.
