On the occasion of the assignments of new Michelin stars, Baden-Württemberg is the leader in starred restaurants in Germany with 74 restaurants and 85 stars.
Among the novelties of this season, the restaurant Le Cerf in the Hotel Wald & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe in Zweiflingen, where chef Boris Rommel has won another star and has now entered the 39 star bi-star restaurants in the region. Even the town of Mannheim is becoming more and more important at the gastronomic level: the two restaurants that have reached a star this year’s are Emma Wolf since 1920, one of the best restaurants in Germany, and Le Corange. But it is the town of Baiersbronn that with 8 stars remains the most starred city in Germany. The Schwarzwaldstube is still the shiniest on and this year Harald Wohlfahrt has passed the reins off Torsten Michel, in addition to the already starred restaurants Bareiss, with 3 stars Michelin and the Schlossberg with 2 stars.
