Winter adventures in Mammoth Lakes are no longer limited to skiing and snowboarding. Snow-covered pine trees and crisp mountain air attract fitness enthusiasts and outdoor activities, who can choose from a multitude of different sports. From family activities to adrenaline-filled adventures, Mammoth will not let you down in the winter.
Snowshoeing
Last year, more than four million Americans have walked using snowshoes, which makes this snowshoe sport the third most popular outdoor winter sport after skiing and snowboarding. Not only is it a great exercise, but it is also one of the easiest winter sports to learn. Almost everyone who loves being outdoors will love snowshoes. Cross-country

The snowmobile has a long history as the main mode of transport during the winter in the most remote regions, but now it is also considered an amateur sport and one of the fastest growing winter activities.
