It is inspired by Buthan, the land of happiness, the last fragrant Amouage artwork. “Figment is the expression of how Bhutan appears in my imagination. It is neither fantasy nor reality, it is rather an olfactory hologram composed of fragments that make up the intense beauty of life” explains creative director of the brand Christopher Chong. Chapter Three of “Portraits of Life”, the second cycle of Amouage’s narrative, the new fragrance is revealed to both feminine and masculine. Figment Woman Eau de Parfum (100 ml – € 290,00) opens with sour and sour pepper accents of Sichan pepper and saffron embellished with green gardenia tones to leave space in the heart, tuberose, jasmine of Arabia , orange blossoms, lisylang and cassia, and finally complete with the woody heat of papyrus and patchouli followed by the incense. Figment Man Eau de Parfum (100ml – € 280,00) opens with fresh, floral head notes of lemon, geranium and pink pepper. A bright sandal heart intertwines with the Animalic accord and the vetiver, where the faces of leather and smoke seduce the subconscious. By capturing a mystical aura, Figment Man is inebriated with a base of ladano, guaiac wood and earthy arrangements of woody and balsamic tones that bind to musk notes. The precious floral theme tapestry on Figment’s packaging suggests the ultramarine inspiration of these ethereal fragrances. The turquoise opulence and metallic blue degraded in the crystal Amouage crystal bottle imply the illusion that lies in Figment’s heart, while the pale Swarovski crystal sapphire adds a touch of magic evanescence.
