The most vibrant moment of the year in New York is the one between Thanksgiving and New Year. The holiday season will open on November the 23rd with the traditional Thanksgiving Day parade sponsored by Macy’s and will continue with the Christmas tree lighting at the Rockefeller Center.
During these months there will be plenty of handicraft shops, special decorations in shops, cultural events, shows, exhibitions and activities for children. The fireworks at Prospect Park (Brooklyn) and, of course, the inevitable New Year’s Eve party in Times Square will end this long festive season.
