Chef Rubio returns to school desks with ActionAid to tell the right to education and a dignified childhood.
New social commitment for Gabriele Rubini, alias Chef Rubio, always at the forefront when it comes to “exploiting” his popularity for noble causes. After his first collaboration in Kenya (2015), Rubio returns to the side of ActionAid International, an independent organization worldwide committed to fight the causes of poverty and social exclusion, with the #Fuoriclasse project, unconventional tale that faces the theme of the right to education so that everyone can virtually see with its own eyes and know, without any filter, the reality of childhood in Zimbabwe and Cambodia. As #Fuoriclasse is where you often go to learn when there are no classrooms or are unlucky schoolchildren or just do not have the opportunity to reach them and attend them. As it is #Fuoriclasse that the chef will lead network users to tell the difficulty of having an appropriate education, not just visiting a classroom, but knowing the whole community in which a child’s life is inserted. As the real #Fuoriclasse are the children protagonists of ActionAid projects, each of which will teach something important to Rubio in the unusual twin dress of master and pupil. The project will be launched with a 72-hour marathon from 4 pm on November, the 5th, to 4pm on November, the 8th, broadcast live from Zimbabwe on ActionAid’s, Chef Rubio and Radio Deejay facebook profiles, the media partner of the initiative. A travel companion of the first African stage on Rubio’s journey will be Danilo Da Fiumicino, one of the protagonists of the radio station. Both, they will be alongside a baby-girl at all times and activities of her day, starting from school, discovering the difficulties of her daily life and the changes that have already been made through ActionAid’s work. Network users will be able to interact with them as if they were on the spot in person, it will be possible to respond to live calls from both players by voting or even through free donations in support of this and other ActionAid initiatives. At the end of the marathon, Chef Rubio’s journey will continue in a new stage and on another continent to learn about the life of a child in Cambodia, and on this occasion it will be possible to support ActionAid’s work by activating distance adoptions and thus contributing to improve the life of some children for a long time.
