The Chedi Andermatt, yet the Best Hotel of The Year 2017 for the Gault Millau guide, conquers the Michelin Star thanks to its The Japanese Restaurant. Executive Chef Dietmar Sawyere successfully puts the Japanese Restaurant among the best Asian proposals in Switzerland, working inter alia with a gastronomic tradition not immediately belonging to its Swiss origins.
Dietmar Sawyere, with its cosmopolitan experience, has been able to develop the philosophy of the iconic 5 star luxury hotel on the culinary level, creating the perfect synthesis of Asian sophistication and alpine sympathy that are the paradigms of The Chedi Andermatt. The Japanese Restaurant proposes the most authentic Japanese delicacies by exploiting top quality local ingredients. Sushi, sashimi, tempura, teppanyaki, teppan, kaiseki are some of the menu specialties. The Japanese Restaurant goes alongside Megu of Alpina Gstaad. Both are today the only Japanese starry restaurants in Switzerland.
