The airline – for the 60% of Egyptair capital and for 40% of two of the most important Egyptian banks (National Bank of Egypt and Misr Bank) – last October opened a new direct air connection from Milan Malpensa to Sharm El-Sheikh and Marsa Alam, the two pearls of the Red Sea, while this yera, on January, the 26th, it has inaugurated the flight from Naples to Sharm. The Air Cairo fleet, consisting of 8 Airbus A320 and a Boeing 737-800, will also increase the number of aircraft to reach 18 aircraft by 2020. To date, Air Cairo connects the main Egyptian tourist destinations (Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh, Marsa Alam) with 14 European countries, including Germany, Holland, Poland, Norway, Czech Republic, France and Sweden. In reference to the Italian market, the air service of Air Cairo began on October 2017, the 29th, with two weekly flights operated on Sunday from Malpensa Airport with destination Sharm and Marsa Alam and from March, the 25th, a flight will be added on Wednesday for Sharm El-Sheikh.
