The best chefs in the world will declare on July, the 24th, the winner of Basque Culinary World Prize 2018, a recognition that rewards those who make gastronomy an instrument of social change.
It will be chef Massimo Bottura to host in his Modena the VIII meeting of the international council of the Basque Culinary Center on July, the 24th. Together with him and other famous colleagues such as Michael Bras (France), Joan Roca (Spain), Andoni Luis Aduriz (Spain), Gastón Acurio (Peru), Dominique Crenn (USA) and Yoshihiro Narisawa (Japan), they will join speakers of various disciplines to discuss how gastronomy has become part of a social movement. For the occasion, i twill also be announced the winner of the third edition of the Basque Culinary World Prize, award created by the Basque Culinary Center and the Basque Government. “Cooking is a work of thought: one of the most precious tools in this activity is the mind, because cooking is not just about the quality of the ingredients but also about the quality of the ideas”, said Massimo Bottura, chef patron at Osteria Francescana and founder of Food for Soul. The winner will receive 100,000 euros for a specific project of his choice that expresses the spirit of the prize: transforming society through gastronomy.
