A truly unusual way to experience the last days of the year is the Oyster Safari that takes place in the pristine Danish Wadden Sea.
Banning evening dresses and high heels, the New Year is made to soak to collect the oysters that, accompanied by a good glass of bubbles, will be our passe-partout to elegantly enter in 2020. In the Wadden Sea, on the west coast of the Danish peninsula of Jutland, the Oyster Safari offers one of the most surprising and immersive experiences for nature-loving gourmets. During the safari you will walk on the Wadden Sea beaches heading for the wild oyster beds to collect and taste them. All surrounded by an incredible panorama and an uncontaminated environment in conjunction with low tide, when the oyster beds emerge. Sort Safari organizes safaris for all of January but also a special guided tour on December, the 30th, on the island of Rømø (bookable directly on the site sortsafari.dk). The safari in the Wadden Sea National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lasts about 3 hours and is suitable for everyone. The important thing is to cover yourself well with warm, windproof and waterproof clothing.
