The exhibition, that will be open until October the 24th, offers various food for thought. The other side of a story that has always seen men as the only protagonists. It is a path of historical awareness that, starting from the past, leads us to reflect on the present and to open ourselves to the expectations and opportunities that are offered to the new generations. The exhibition examines the evolution of the image and role of women in the twentieth century and is composed of a review of Italian twentieth-century paintings, from Boldini to Zandomeneghi, from Morbelli to Saccaggi, flanked by a photographic exhibition with images from important private collections and public, such as the Historical Archive of the Fiera Milano Foundation or the Chiolini Archive of the Civic Museums of Pavia, and a selection of advertising images from the National Museum of the Salce Collection in Treviso. The event is completed by a section dedicated to fashion, with a series of multimedia projections and an exhibition of period clothing, which also continues at the Castello Visconteo di Sartirana, where an extraordinary historical collection of high fashion from the second half of the twentieth century is exhibited. . Alongside a cycle of round tables and a program for secondary schools dedicated to the themes of femicide, the man-woman relationship and body shaming.
