In the heart of northern Calabria, between the rocky coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the cool mountains that dominate the province of Cosenza, a rich and fertile farm houses of ancient roots and innovative strength. The family farm, mainly managing by women, covers an area of ten hectares in the countryside of Rose, near the historic town of Malvito, a charming medieval village perched on a hill, where for generations the Barons La Costa have elected their rural residence. Fruit of the dedication and passion of the Pacelli family, a descendant of La Costa, the Tenute Pacelli is the result of more than 10 long years of work. The vineyard offers grapes intended solely for the personal cellar of the noble family and their guests: Pauciuri (made by Barbera and Cabernet coming from the oldest area) and Tèmeso (by Magliolo and Nero d’Avola) are both aged in oak french barrels. The white wine items represent the innovation of

the wine culture of the area, planting new vineyards and building a cutting-edge winery, and now producing three types of wine: Barone Bianco (made by Riesling grapes), Zoe, the first sparkling wine made by champenoise method and Eos, passito wine made of Trebbiano Toscano raisins grapes. All this in an area resistant to innovative drives and whose wine expressions are often underestimated or overlooked. The strength of an idea, believing firmly in the possibility of an extraordinary and underused land, were the dominant characteristics that have driven Tenute Pacelli to the only success desired: producing a superb wine, with unique features and strong personality. Last but not least, our farm-company is associated with FIVI, winegrowers independent federation, and totally organic.
