There are 585 experiences enclosed in the unmistakable orange guide of Les Collectionneurs, which in 2019 strengthens European presences and widens the boundaries with new entries.
Who has the spirit of the collector and shares the taste of travel, including high class cuisine, can not miss the 585 experiences contained in the guide Les Collectionneurs, the first community of restaurateurs, hoteliers and travelers chaired by Alain Ducasse. 18 countries are present in the 2019 edition, with a strengthening of Europe, including Luxembourg, as well as the new entry of Tunisia. There are instead 51 new restaurateurs and hoteliers, all united by the values that distinguish the community – curiosity, being demanding, generosity – and with a single promise: bien-dormir and bien-manger in “houses” where the human relationship comes first. Every hotelier and restaurateur offers a unique experience and it is precisely from the meeting with the guest, from the exchange and attention that the experience of a journey and those unforgettable moments of life that the Collectionneurs seek, propose and love to collect. This year Italy
wins the podium of new entries (24) with 15 hoteliers and 9 restaurateurs (for a total of 70 addresses) and includes new destinations. In Sardinia, La Coluccia Hotel in Santa Teresa di gallura and Cala Caterina Hotel in Villasimius make their debut; on the Amalfi Coast two hotel excellences, Hotel Le Agavi in Positano and Grand Hotel Cocumella in Sant’Agnello; in Basilicata, in the heart of the Sassi of Matera – Unesco heritage and precisely this year “capital of culture” – there is the suggestive village-hotel Corte San Pietro, where the Ponte family welcomes guests in elegant rooms with a rustic and refined style from the ancient stone houses. Going further south, in the splendid Costa degli Dei, in Tropea (Calabria) you will find Villa Paola, an elegant dwelling with the charm of bygone days immersed in a lush garden with sea view. New hoteliers in the community also in Tuscany, with Villa Armena Luxury Relais in Buonconvento, the perfect location for a dip in the Renaissance in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy; in Campania with Villa Signorini Hotel & Events, a stone’s
throw from the archaeological excavations of Ercolano, and in Sicily with a.d. 1768 Ibla Boutique Hotel, of imminent opening in the center of Ragusa Ibla. The gourmet offer is also expanding with the entry of 9 restaurants: Zia Restaurant in Rome and BU: R in Milan, both recently opened, which are flanked by two addresses already established in Milan, Ceresio 7 Pools & Restaurant and Morelli. The other new entries are the historic Pomiroeu in Seregno, the elegant-minimalist Inkiostro Restaurant in Parma, the Trattoria Zappatori in Pinerolo with its signature cuisine, and two representatives of the high-level Tuscan table, La Leggenda Dei Frati in the hills of Florence and Cum Quibus in San Gimignano. Different proposals but all united by the refinement in the raw material and respect for the traditions of the territory. To keep up to date on new addresses, current events and curiosity, just log on to the lescollectionneurs.comwebsite, a real meeting and dialogue point for the community where you can interact, tell your travel experience, exchange tips, discover curiosity and book next “experience”.
