In September, the leader in anti-aging cellular cosmetics and fragrances entered the evocative spaces of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice, sealing another important Italian partnership for the success of the brand. But also confirming the love and passion that Sophie Vann-Guillon and Didier Guillon – owners of Valmont – have always had for the lagoon city. Fondaco dei Tedeschi, a luxurious department store that welcomes the excellence of Made in Italy and the most important international brands, occupies an ancient and fascinating building a few steps from the Rialto Bridge: the historic Fontego dei Tedeschi, already a symbol and nerve center of commercial exchanges between East and West in the 13th century. Fashion and accessories, watches and jewelry, cosmetics and perfumes, quality craftsmanship and food excellence find their own space within this splendid four-story building overlooking a majestic internal courtyard. The furnishings are signed by Jamie Fobert and celebrate the elements, textures and classic forms of Venice, creating a spectacular environment that combines tradition and modernity. On the third floor, in an area dedicated to cosmetics and beauty, an exclusive Valmont space invites the customer to an unprecedented experience among renowned cosmetics, refined fragrances and a passion for art: the Valmont
Fondacoface and body rituals, the quintessence of ‘Elixir des Glaciers, the high olfactory jewelery of Storie Veneziane and artistic events. An emotional space designed for the youth and radiance of the skin that promises wonderful discoveries and limited edition products. To celebrate the opening of the corner, Didier – in his dual capacity as artist and president of the Valmont Foundation, which promotes art in all its forms – has created, in collaboration with the glass master Leonardo Cimolin, Murano glass masks that will characterize this corner of beauty, recreating a unique and evocative space of its kind. After all, the common thread between Fondation Valmont and Fondaco dei Tedeschi is represented by Art and Beauty: the timeless beauty of the baroque decorations that enrich Palazzo Bonvicini, the main international headquarters of Fondation Valmont in Venice and beauty as a symbol of the cosmetic excellence presented in department store. A virtuous circuit that creates a solid relationship between these two Venetian spaces. Valmont customers of Fondaco dei Tedeschi will be invited to Palazzo Bonvicini to experience the fabulous collagen mask (always in compliance with the current regulations for the Covid-19 emergency) and enjoy a private visit of the Foundation’s current art exhibition, “Venetian Love”.
