Thanks to the partnership between the two-starring chef father of the New Nordic Cuisine René Redzepi and the Noma team with the chef Kristian Baumann, this evening the long-awaited “108” will open in Copenhagen Strandgade 108, in the historic port of Christianshavn. After offering a first glimpse of the “108” in the Pop Up restaurant “Noma at 108” during the Redzepi’s Australian trip (from January to April of this year), Baumann and his staff over the past months have been dedicated to the research of best ingredients in Copenhagen region, establishing a close relationship with excellence farmers and producers to continue to grow the idea of a typical kitchen in the capital of Denmark. The objective is to create an urban restaurant through
its dishes able to maintain close contact with nature, while enjoying the energy and dynamism of the city. Among the news, there is the “livretter”, which in Danish language means “favorite dish”: family-size portions for a full table, a large fish grilled or braised shoulder of lamb, or grilled vegetables served with a variety of sauces. In typical Danish design and bright, the “108” offers a splendid view of the old canals of Copenhagen and has within it a space dedicated to coffee and wine to offer breakfast in the morning and turn from midday onwards in a wine bar. The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday (from 17 to 24), while The Corner (coffee & wine) from Wednesday to Friday from 7 to 24 and from 9 to 24 on weekends. (Booking directly online).
