The Salon du Chocolat, the world’s largest event dedicated to chocolate, is back to Milan February, from the 9th to the 12th. The second Milan edition also guests the Chef and Maître Chocolatier Ernst Knam.
An exhibition of large class will be the star of Milan next February. The second Milan edition of the Salon du Chocolat will introduce the best chocolate in all its aspects, not just the taste. Alongside the portion Food and its excellences there will be even the Chocolate Fashion Show and the Chocolate Design Expo, to sublimate the cutting edge designer talent with the art of the master chocolate makers to offer an interpretation of high-level, great creative appeal of chocolate. But the main news is certainly the presence of the famous Maître Chocolatier Ernst Knam. His realization of chocolate sculpture themed Valentine’s Day, symbol
of the event, will welcome guests at the entrance. And made by Knam it will also be the chocolate dress that will close the parade of Chocolate Gallery collection organized in collaboration between the New Academy of Fine Arts and the great pastry chefs of the Italian Pastry Masters Academy. Furthermore, Chef Knam will got a dedicated stand where he will perform his famous master classes and meet the public. Among the other protagonists there will be chef Davide Oldani, Andrea Besuschio and Davide Comaschi, who will make a chocolate dedicated to Valentine’s Day 2017 for sale only during the Salon du Chocolat, and the proceeds will go directly to LILT Milan for sick children.
The Association Maestro Martino chaired by chef Carlo Cracco will test some of his best-known talents such as Paolo Griffa, Lorenzo Lavezzari, Andrea Provenzani and many others. Chef Simone Salvini and Ghita Academy will enliven the space dedicated (for the first time) in the vegan world. To Master Iginio Massari, great italian pastry chef and creative, it will be dedicated the Magic Garden created by the curator of the Salon du Chocolat Pietro Cerretani, in collaboration with Chocolate Academy.
Besides the most renowned exhibitors, this year Salon du Chocolat will also host a large area with the cocoa-producing countries and a space dedicated to the world Bean to Bar by Fermento Cacao in collaboration with the Compagnia del Cioccolato chaired by Gilberto Mora: the place to meet the seed of cocoa and watch it turn into chocolate thanks to the protagonists of the plantations, understand the technologies in the processing service and learn about the history and the new promises of the Italian and European chocolate.
