Mama Roma expands its food offer with the Giardino d’Inverno (Winter Garden). Proposals for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch also open to the public outside the hotel.
Homemade dishes with passion, generous portions designed to be shared, traditional recipes with an international twist and the freshest products. These are the ingredients of the colorful journey through flavors signed by Mama Roma, the newest among the hotels of the lifestyle brand Mama Shelter, located in the Prati district, on the west bank of the Tiber not far from the Vatican. A journey through the flavors that passes from the Pizzeria and the Rooftop to the very recent Il Giardino d’Inverno restaurant, where it is possible to taste traditional Roman and Italian cuisine revisited. The autumn menu includes, for example, the Tagliolini with artichokes and squid and mint, the Pumpkin soup and crunchy chestnuts, the Moscardini alla Luciana, croutons from the roscioli oven and field salad, or the Sea bass fillet baked with field vegetables some flowers.
During the year, the original Mama Shelter such as burgers, ham coquillette or tiramisu are added to the seasonal menu. At the bar, guests can enjoy a cocktail from the special Mama list – such as the Mama Smackdown, with vodka, basil, cointreau, lime juice, sugar syrup, egg white and raspberry powder; or the Cipro Vatican Museum, based on campari, classic carpano vermouth and pumpkin rhubarb. At the tables you can sit on woven straw and colored wrought iron seats, or on soft sofas and armchairs decorated with patterned cushions, to spend moments of sharing, with the background of live music. On Saturdays and Sundays Il Giardino d’Inverno offers brunch – already a success in the other Mama establishments – based on artisan cakes, pastries and brioches, specialties from the world, Italian delights, fish dishes and live cooking space.
