In February, the month of love, the Acquario di Genova offers a rich calendar of events to get to know and love marine and aquatic species, discover the daily work of the aquarium staff and the main conservation activities carried out over the 30 years of opening.
From 1st to 28th February, three daily appointments will enrich the visit to the Genoa Aquarium and will allow the public to meet the experts of the facility to learn more about some aspects of their work in contact with over 10,000 specimens of 400 host species, aimed at the well-being animal. In the week of Valentine’s Day, from Monday 13 to Friday 17 February, there will also be a daily meeting in the penguin area to learn more about a species that is distinguished by its particular courtship rituals and the sharing of parental care, both in the hatching phase of the eggs and in the care phase of the chicks. In those same days, in the large sub-Antarctic tank dedicated to penguins, the nests and pebbles used by Gentoo penguin couples in the mating and reproduction phase will be placed. The special schedule, included in the ticket price, is one of the initiatives conceived by the Genoa Aquarium to celebrate its 30 years of activity with the public, consolidate the link with visitors, strengthen the role of tourist attraction by providing continuous ideas to return visiting Genoa and also offer fun and engaging opportunities to get to know and learn to love nature.
