A traveling festival that tells a story of stories, bringing the culture in the squares, in the streets, in historical areas to recover. It is the “Festival delle Storie,” which returns this year in the Comino Valley with seven day trip through medieval squares, narrow streets, castles, convents, nineteenth-century villas and strongholds. Every day a different country, every day a different symbol to dictate the plot of the Festival, that was born in 2010 from an idea of the journalist and writer Vittorio Macioce and Rachele Brancatisano. From August, 25th to September, 4th the stories will revive the magic of stories of actors, writers, singers, philosophers, musicians, journalists, scientists, entrepreneurs, directors, writers, artists, intellectuals, in the natural setting of the Comino Valley, nestled in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. “The sky above Cominium”, this is the key issue of 2016. A “novel” to be held around the Cominium legend, the Sunni stronghold that gives the valley its name, with 7 Samnitic gods to symbolize the 7 Festival days. It begins thus to Alvito on August, 25th with the Euclus paper, freedom. While it will be Hereklùi, the hero who defies the impossible, the man alone with the fate, to close the Festival of Stories on September, 4th in Casalvieri. As from August, 29th to September, 1th there will be time for hiking and biking, and for Laboratories divided into 5 areas: vision, memory, stories, words, imagination.
