Olympics                     3 Ipanema
The Olympics are over but not Brazil. Do not you think that fifteen days in Rio de Janeiro will explain everything about a country as large as a continent, but be aware that however you will find everything from the most luxury to the most absolute poverty. Rio is dangerous? Sure. But no more than other cities in the world, dangerous cities to speak. To be clear: some of Rio’s favelas are deadly as some dark alleys you can find in Europe, even in Italy. We have to adapt and lead. That said, here are two or three things that (now) I know about Rio.
– In Rio cookies are a mystery. They do not know they have been done, and yet they sell them at the supermarket. Or sell them on the beach, but they are never as they seem. They are small and often not very tasty. But however small, who knows what would say Banderas. And his hen.
– Always at the supermarket beware of crackers: there are in all kinds, but mostly it is easy to get confused and take the ones with the cream inside. A condensed cream making them horrible.
– The inhabitants of Rio always travel as it was summer, even in winter. Because winter is very summery. There is no jacket, no tie. Hawaianas are for all.
– The severity of Rio is different, otherwise it would explain the strange phenomenon that brings the B-side of sinuously girls down. Then return perfectly okay when they lie down on the sand.
– Brazilians sing when they talk. And when they sing enchant.
– The weather changes and often you do not know why. But sun always comes back.
– Açaì berries do become a Paradise juices. Whatever they are.
– Eating at restaurants is a lottery: you find yourself looking for a burger and a sandwich meaningless. Scouring Churrascaria and you find yourself in Eden meat.
Anyway, after 15 days of the Olympics, do not believe what you surely will read is true, it says here that just finished the Games Lula and Dilma will be arrest and the Country will be back to chaos. But if you had seen the eyes of volunteers happy you would have read “there we did it.” It means that the Olympics is over, but Brazil not.
