In the heart of Barbagia, the municipality of Oliena – province of Nuoro – is the maximum expression of a fascinating territory still unknown. Distant from mass tourism, it is rich not only of natural beauty but also of traditions, precious craftsmanship, a wide range of food and wine, remarkable archeological sites and a sense of hospitality and genuine and enthusiastic hospitality. It is here, where Supramonte and its inebriating Mediterranean bush welcome the Cedar River, which is home to the natural monument of Su Gologone, a natural source and millenarian geological area that has “given” its name to a luxury country resort that well represents all the features of this part of Sardinia.

Su GologoneFood and wine experience
The Corte de Su Re offers the Barbagia tradition and ancient techniques of baking loaves and skewers in an environment where bricks used for flooring and stone columns date back to 1600. An enogastronomic experience to live also through the laboratory for the preparation of the preserves or for the production of tomato sauce – of course with the Sardinian tomatoes of the place – until you arrive at the wine tastings, the grape harvest and the production of the must. But besides being a hymn to the tradition and the culture of the area, the resort is above all a place of art, so that in the atelier housed in the old stables, the owner Giovanna Palimodde realizes the drawings that handy crafts turn into textile collections Su Gologone Style featuring unique specimens in the rooms and suites.
