It is one of the oldest grapperia in Italy, but the seventh generation Mazzetti, all female, learns from the past to invent the future.

Fresh wines of the most noble Piedmontese vines have been living for 171 years at the grappa at km 0 of one of the oldest companies in Monferrato and all over Italy. Fresh and Spicy Distillates, Reserves, Brandy, Grape Fruit, Liqueurs and even Flambar Liquor Fruit, all expressions of a territory dedicated to the viticulture ever-allied with Casa Mazzetti. Founded by Filippo Mazzetti in 1846 – it is no accident that the company belongs to the Union of Italian Historical Enterprises – the grapperia is handled today by the seventh generation of the family, not only attentive to the quality of the raw material but also to the environmental but scrupulous impact combining packaging, craftsmanship and art, choosing solutions of rare beauty and

immediate charm thanks to a meticulous sophistication curated personally by the family and the many female representatives who make this company a “pink” distillery. Visiting the Altavilla Monferrato headquarters allows you to immerse yourself in production processes and fully understand the quality of the final products, but also represents an exciting tour of art and history: from the splendid architectural jewel that is  “La Rotonda” Votive Chapel in the historical park dating back to 1808, until you reach the “170 Anni di Grappa” Art Gallery inaugurated in 2016. The highlight of the visit is naturally represented by the elegant Cellar of Magione Mazzetti d’Altavilla, the Grappa Gallery, the Barricaia and the Distillery, where you can know and appreciate
Mazzettithe history and nuances of a premium distillate in a landscaped environment set in the heart of the Unesco Monferrines hills. As far as the finished product, since long time the goal of Casa Mazzetti is to obtain grappas of single vine to better exploit the typical and different notes of the various types, but the true challenge of the last generations is to communicate a quality product such as the Grappa to a young and varied audience. And here are also the recipes for culinary specialties and cocktails that use the distillates and the unusual (for now) food and wine combinations that excite the palate such as between Gorgonzola and Grappa of Arneis. Try  before you trust. (www.mazzetti.it).
